All NYFA Games students learn the language of games / playable systems by studying the Playcentric Design methodology and hands-on prototyping, playtesting, and iterating multiple games. Below are photos of board and card games created by students in Scott Rogers’ Systems Literacy class.

In this class students create their own tabletop games while exploring the complexities of playable systems and user experience design. By the end of the semester each students has multiple Portfolio-ready game prototypes that are not only professional caliber but fun to play.
